1) Young Living diffusers are made with medical grade plastic.
Why is this so important? Two words: plastic leaching.
Perhaps you've heard not to leave plastic water bottles in a hot car? This is because the chemicals in the plastic will leach into the water when heated.
The same priniciple applies to the plastic from which your diffuser is made. Cheap plastic breaks down easily + quickly, especially when paired with pure essential oils.
Oils naturally break down harmful chemicals, which is a benefit of using them to rid our bodies of toxins, but we don't want to breathe in the petrochemicals released from the plastic while diffusing.
Bottom line... using cheap diffusers runs the risk of diffusing petrochemicals into the air.
2) Young Living diffusers utilize ultrasonic plates to produce a cool mist.
Avoid putting essential oils in anything that uses heat to disperse the scent into the air. Wax warmers were designed for synthetic scent delivery and would destroy the therapeutic qualities of a pure essential oil. Diffusers/Humidifiers that heat the water would do the same damage.

You can clean the Ultrasonic plate on the bottom with a qtip + rubbing alcohol.
Just be sure to never submerge your diffuser or wash it under running water.
Keep it upright + dry when transporting.
